I am tired of opinions.
And yet, my husband, family, and friends fight for our country so that we can have them. I just read an article written bya fellow military spouse. She questions our country's "war weariness," particularly that of civilians. "What are they weary of?" she asks. I'll tell you what I'm weary of. I'm weary of hearing all of these people telling me, "This is what he signed up for." And you know what? They're right. This is what he signed up for. This is what I signed up for. And as much as they would like to refute it, WE BOTH KNEW THAT. And we did it anyway. My husband enlisted, and I joined him for the ride by marrying him. SO STOP REMINDING US. We don't need a reminder. In fact, I think YOU need a reminder that he signed up to fight for you, your family, your rights, and your very life. There's a reminder for you.
